What we send
Crosscheck sends game reminders, RSVP requests, availability check-ins, and team updates for teams you have joined. We also send sign-in codes when you request them and SMS sign-in is enabled. Team alert consent is separate from requesting a sign-in code.
Message frequency varies; typically a few messages per game week. Replies, schedule changes, multiple teams, and requested sign-in codes can add messages. Msg & data rates may apply. Ask your mobile provider about your plan.
How you opt in
- Team join link: open your team's join link, sign in or confirm your phone with a code, and select the optional “Text me game alerts” checkbox before submitting. Phone verification by itself does not subscribe you to team alerts. Some new roster entries or changed contact details need manager approval.
- Manager invitation: if your manager has permission to contact you, they may add your number and send a one-time invitation asking you to opt in. Reply YES to that invitation to turn on team alerts. Being added to a roster alone does not opt you in.
- Sign-in codes: request a code from Crosscheck's phone sign-in screen. This is a request for that sign-in message, not ongoing team alerts.
For the join-link and YES-reply flows, Crosscheck records team alert consent with the contact number, timestamp, and source. You do not have to opt in to team texts to join; the join flow also offers email alerts. Consent to team texts is not a condition of purchase.
STOP, START, and HELP
Reply STOP to pause Crosscheck team texts to your number across teams using that number. Crosscheck records the opt-out and sends a confirmation for recognized team contacts; if you belong to several teams, you may receive more than one team confirmation. Reply START to resume team texts. Signing in or rejoining through a link does not clear an existing STOP choice.
Reply HELP for instructions on replying IN, OUT, or MAYBE, checking STATUS, and using STOP or START. For support, email support@crosschecksports.com. The app's automatic HELP reply is available for recognized team contacts who have not stopped texts. You can always contact support by email.
STOP pauses team messaging; it does not delete your account. Sign-in code delivery is handled separately and may also be subject to your carrier or messaging provider's blocking rules. Contact support if you cannot receive a requested code.
Delivery and privacy
Messages may be delayed or undelivered. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Do not rely on texts for emergencies or as the only way to confirm game details. Tell your manager if your number changes or no longer belongs to you.
