Privacy policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

Crosscheck is operated by Landersweb LLC, 16465 SW 137th Ave, Portland, OR 97224. Contact us at support@crosschecksports.com about this policy or your information.

What we collect

We use PostHog for usage analytics, session replay, and error tracking. Replay can record page content and ordinary form input, including personal or team information. The app masks password and one-time-code inputs and fields marked as sensitive; it does not mask every input or all page text. Analytics can be linked to your account ID, name, and the last four digits of your phone number. Page URLs and referrers may also be collected.

How we use information

We use information to sign you in, run teams, find and sync league information, send game reminders and RSVP requests, track availability, deliver team updates, honor messaging choices, provide support, prevent misuse, and understand and fix problems with the service.

Crosscheck uses Anthropic to process public league pages and manager-provided search details to help find and extract schedules, rosters, and related league information. Public page content can include player names and statistics. AI requests and responses may also be recorded in PostHog to diagnose extraction quality and cost. AI results can be wrong; managers can review and correct team information.

Who receives information

Team managers and other authorized team users can see team information according to their access. A team join link shows team and season details and roster names and jersey numbers, but not roster contact details. Anyone who has that link can open that information.

We use service providers to operate Crosscheck: Telnyx for SMS and phone verification; Resend for email; PostHog for analytics, replay, and error tracking; Anthropic for AI processing; and hosting and storage providers. Search and page-retrieval services, including Brave and Firecrawl when enabled, may receive league search queries or public page URLs. Providers receive information needed for their work, and may process it outside your state or country.

We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in information are not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share that information with service providers only as needed to operate the messaging program.

Storage and retention

Account, team, and message records are stored on our server. We use AWS S3 for team media and database backups. Better Auth manages authentication sessions using cookies; sessions can remain active for up to six months and renew with use.

We keep information while it is needed to provide the service, maintain team history, honor consent and opt-out choices, resolve problems, and meet legal obligations. The alpha does not yet apply a single automatic deletion period to all account, team, message, or analytics records. Database backups are configured to expire after 30 days; deleting a live record does not immediately remove it from an existing backup. Service-provider copies follow their retention settings. We may retain limited records needed to honor opt-outs, protect the service, or meet legal obligations after a deletion request.

Your choices

Reply STOP to a team text to pause team texts to that number. Reply START to resume. This does not delete your account or replace the sign-in process; sign-in codes are requested separately. You can unsubscribe from team email using its unsubscribe link.

Ask your manager to correct team information. Email support@crosschecksports.com to request access, corrections, or account deletion, including if a manager added your details. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate changes to shared team records. Account deletion is handled by request, rather than a self-service button.

You can clear or block cookies and browser storage using your browser settings. Blocking session cookies can prevent sign-in. The app does not currently offer a separate analytics or replay opt-out setting.

Adults and youth teams

Crosscheck is for adults aged 18 or older to sign up. Youth teams must be managed by adult managers; children should not create accounts. Adult managers are responsible for having authority to provide youth player information and should use a parent or guardian's contact details. Contact support@crosschecksports.com if you believe a child has created an account or supplied information without appropriate permission.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes and will update the effective date. For questions or privacy requests, contact support@crosschecksports.com or write to Landersweb LLC, 16465 SW 137th Ave, Portland, OR 97224.
